Are you ready for a fun weekend? Time with DKG sisters, old and new? Lots of activities are planned for the State Convention in April. Many of us have not seen each other for almost three years. The hotel is in Hyattsville, the Conference Center for the University of Maryland. It is beautiful, modern and the place that you want to be in April, 2023. The State Officers, Committee Chairs and Delta, Theta, Iota, Rho, and Upsilon Hostess Chapters are looking forward to greeting you and presenting a great convention for all of our members and their guests. The Convention Committee invites you to attend the convention for all or part of the weekend. The convention opens Friday night with a fun and entertaining social event. Saturday morning will be the business meeting followed by the luncheon, with a message from International as well as other activities. The committee is planning several workshops for the afternoon. Do you have a topic that you would like to have presented? If so, send a message to Janey Snyder at [email protected]. A banquet will be held on Saturday evening. New officers will be installed followed by a brief message from our new president for the 2023-2025 biennium. Sunday morning there will be a remembrance service for all members who passed since 2019. (Yes, that includes the previous biennium, 2019-2021 as well as 2021-2023.) Chapter presidents, please make sure that Sharon Darling, Nu, has information about any members of your chapter who have passed since the spring of 2019. There will be a Women in the Arts exhibit. Any member is free to bring an item for the exhibit: needlework, photographs, arts, crafts, etc. Please begin working now on an exhibit entry. There will also be a silent auction, and we are asking all chapters and/or individual members to bring an item or a basket for the auction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Emergency Fund as well DKG MD available funds. More details on both of these will be available soon.
